Useful And Effective DIY Face Packs That Are Ideal For Dry Skin Type

Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and yet often we fail to take care of it. Just like we take care of our health and do all the needful things like instantly eating when we feel hungry, or brushing our teeth to keep cavities and other problems at bay, having a bath to maintain personal hygiene, our skin needs attention too. But for most of us, skincare is often pushed back to the least priority. We push it to restrict it for weekends, or whenever we get spare time, which is obviously a rare thing in this world. This should not be the case; in fact, just like brushing and sleeping, even skin care should be a part of our daily regime.

Now, I certainly don’t mean that you start putting on packs and scrubs on a regular basis, all I’m saying is that pay attention to the problems your skin is conveying and address them. You know dozens of people out there still don’t know their skin type. I’m not saying that it is a sin or something, but what I’m saying is that if you start caring for it, it will save you from skin conditions like premature aging. Even if you start today, you can still get that perfect glow that you drool over in the TV campaigns. If you have dry skin, you might have faced flakiness and dry patches.

Also, if the moisturizers have failed to treat the condition, natural things like aloe vera and rose water can be your next skincare ingredients. Buy plants online and grow them in your home so that you can pluck it wherever you need it. Here are some homemade face packs that can provide deep conditioning to your dull and dry skin.

Rosewater and yogurt face pack

See, I already told you that rose water could be a great ingredient for the dry skin type. This pack consists of two main ingredients – rose water and curd. Both these ingredients are a miracle for the people with dry skin as they moisturize the skin deeply. To prepare the pack, mix 2 tablespoons of curd or yogurt with one tbsp of rose water. Apply it on a cleansed face and leave it for up to 30 minutes, then wash it off. Repeat the process for 2-3 times in a week to get soft and smooth skin.

Aloe vera and honey pack

Dry skin is often attacked by hyperpigmentation and tanning. It is more prone to such skin conditions. This pack will not only provide moisturization because of the honey, but aloe vera and honey mixed together will fight pigmentation as well. Mix both the ingredients in equal quantities and apply it on a washed face. Keep it for about 20-25 minutes and wash off, followed by a moisturizer. My suggestion is to apply pure/fresh aloe vera. You can buy plants online and use fresh aloe vera every time you make this pack.

Honey and papaya pack

Honey is a great moisturizer for dry skin, and papaya helps to fight tan (if any). Also, honey is antibacterial that is good for the skin and cures dry patches without clogging the pores. So, for this pack, you need a half ripe papaya with one tbsp of honey. Mash the papaya well and mix it with honey. Consistency should not be very runny. Apply on a clean face and let it set for 30 minutes. Wash off with not very cold water. You can apply this pack for about 3-4 times per week to get the skin you desire.

Gram flour and yogurt face pack

Well, this pack is a magic potion for any skin type. Be it dry, combination, sensitive, any of you can apply this pack for the best results. Well, the curd in the pack will deeply condition your dry and dull skin, and the gram flour will give you the perfect glow. Mix in 2 tbsp of besan with 1 tbsp of curd and apply. You can repeat it 2-3 times a week.

These are the homemade face packs to ward off dryness and get a glow on your skin. One advantage of homemade packs is that they do not contain chemical ingredients that can have any ill effects on the skin. Do try them.
