valentine week

Valentine’s week is a chance for those who want to express their emotions to the ones they love. With the approaching year-end, we look forward to the week of love with ultimate excitement. An ideal valentine’s day is filled with cupids, hearts, flowers, and romance all around. However, if you are someone who is not exactly expressive or confused about how you can make Valentine’s week striking, here are some ideas for you.

Valentine Week Begins on Rose Day – 7 February 2023

The beginning of Valentine’s week begins on February 7 with Rose day. As the name suggests, the day demands the exchange of roses. Anciently, it is believed that the Victorians began this culture of exchanging roses to express implicit emotions. The day is an ideal one to confess your feelings to your crush, girlfriend/ boyfriend, or husband/ wife. Here’s our idea to celebrate the occasion.

  • The best way is to give away the roses with some delicacies. You can start your day by preparing a morning breakfast and presenting a rose alongside.
  • Send them a bouquet while they are at work to uplift their mood in between a hectic day.
  • Write down what that rose wants to communicate with a card to make it extra memorable.
  • Give out some chocolates, cupcakes, or donuts.
Rose Day

As a matter of fact, your valentine flowers don’t always have to be roses. In fact, you can make a change with lilies, orchids, tulips, or anything you like. However, the thing to take care of is which rose to give as per your relation. You can start by giving dark shades of roses to the one you love or admire, while the light color roses symbolize joy and loyalty.

Propose Day – 8 February 2023

The second day of valentine’s week falls on February 8 as Propose day. If you are single and looking for an occasion to ask someone out, this is the right time. A perfect proposal can be anytime and anywhere, just make sure the words come from your heart. Also, don’t forget to add a little gift or flower when you propose.

  • To make your proposal fun, you can plan a treasure hunt and surprise them at the end.
  • Book a romantic candlelight dinner and say that you want to do all your dinners with them.
  • We can not miss out on the typical bending on a knee under moonlight proposal.
  • Lighten up and warm their apartment/ room and let them know how they spread the charm into your life.
Propose Day

Even if you are already committed or married to someone, don’t forget to propose to them again and refresh the road you’ve crossed so far. Peeking back and rejuvenating the butterflies you used to have is an excellent way to stir your still bond.

Chocolate Day – 9 February 2023

Here comes the 3rd day of valentine’s week, chocolate day on February 9th. Chocolate is always considered a token of affection. In fact, it is said to be sweeter than love which can make your bond stronger. Besides, we all know how it uplifts the mood of a person. You can celebrate chocolate day by eating chocolates, obviously. But here is more.

  • Dig out to YouTube and learn how to bake chocolate at home. Breaking the myth, making chocolates isn’t a complex process. In doing so, your loved one will appreciate the efforts you put in to make them happy.
  • Plan out a date in your favorite restaurant and order your favorite chocolate dessert.
  • Also, you can plan a little snack time that includes all wafers and chocolates. For instance, chocolate cookies, hot chocolate, chocolate hearts, letters, and more.
  • And the best one, spend some time together in the kitchen and make your favorite chocolaty thing. This way, you can both have some fun and sweet delicacies.
Chocolate Day

As a matter of fact, chocolates contain a high level of antioxidants. Plus, it is proven to prevent memory decline and lower cholesterol levels. So, treat your loved one with love and health this chocolate day with one of these ideas.

Teddy Day on 10 February 2023

February 10, 2023, the fourth day of Valentine’s week is marked as teddy day. Teddies are just cute stuffed toys when you are a kid. However, when you are a grown-up, they symbolize more than that. This day as well is about admitting your love or attraction towards someone. However, gifting a teddy bear means that you promise to be by their side forever. With these cute gifts, the person can feel your presence and hug it out anytime they want.

  • Get a huge human-size teddy bear and give it to her so she can feel like it’s a stuffed version that represents you. To be honest, they are better to sleep and cuddle partners.
  • If a giant teddy isn’t your choice, get small ones and maybe give some little pieces of chocolates alongside.
  • Both online and offline markets are loaded with adorable unique teddy stuff items that you can get as per your budget.
  • Do not forget to add a card with a charming message when you give away that fuzzy bear.

Did you know, just like roses, the colors of teddy bears also have their own meaning? The red bears are to admit love, while the pink ones reveal affection. On the other hand, the blue, orange, and green teddies denote commitment, hope, and patience, respectively.

Day 5 of Valentine week: Promise Day – 11 February 2023

A relationship of love always depends on words and efforts, and this is what the fifth day of Valentine’s week demands Promises. There’s nothing tangible attached to this day, but it still is an imperative one. On this day, people exchange promises to stay committed, loyal, and faithful to their partner. Besides, even all marriages are based on vows you take.

As said, there are no gifts involved here. You just have to make sure to speak out the words straight from your heart. Also, make sure to stick to them forever.

  • You can always write down your promises in a card or letter. A handwritten letter goes a long way and there’s nothing more touching than that piece of paper.
  • Give something that marks the depth of your promise, like a magnet pendant or bracelet. They are a way of saying, “we are incomplete without each other.”
Promise Day

On a different note, promises are not meant for romantic partners only. You can boost the essence of the day by making promises to your friends, parents, and siblings. However, one thing remains the same i.e; to keep every single word you say.

Hug Day on 12 February 2023

With Valentine’s week coming to an end, things become less materialistic and more passionate. February 12 is the second last day of the week celebrated as hug day. A hug is the best way to express your love and warmth towards someone. Let’s agree, we all want hugs from our loved ones even in daily life.

  • Studies have shown that a person needs 8 hugs on a normal day. So make sure to give more on this special day.
  • Furthermore, love and affection double up when shown in public. So, if you are out, do not forget to give constant hugs so everybody knows you care.

As a matter of fact, hugs have some psychological benefits as well. They are a great stress and pain reliever as they provide calmness. In addition, it strengthens the immune system. What could be better than having a day specially dedicated to hugs? Moreover, hugs are proven to deeper your bond.

Celebrate Pre Valentine Day with Kiss Day on 13 February 2023

The last day of Valentine’s week is kiss day which is celebrated on February 14. Just like hugs, kisses are a token of affection that we often forget to use in our daily lives. A kiss is a gesture saying that you love and care for someone more than you can explain. Let’s approve, we love when someone gives us random unexpected kisses, don’t we? The romance is at its highest at this time of the year. And what’s romance if there’s no kiss involved?

  • In our opinion, the best kiss happens under the light of stars. These little diamonds in the sky turn anything magical with zero effort. If it’s your first kiss, try to make it special effortlessly.
  • Anyway, planned kisses are not the best. The soft spontaneous pecks are what make it memorable. Try kissing on the cheek while you are hanging out!

There are several types of kisses and each of them depicts different emotions. A kiss on the hand shows respect, a kiss on the forehead means care, and a kiss on the neck is flirtation. Besides, the kisses on the cheek and lips signify friendship and love, respectively. Remember, the more affectionate kiss, the more intense love.

Although these days, the day does not have to be dedicated only to the love of your life.
