The whole country concur the decision and are totally trying to abide by it. But it’s also true that everything seems to have slowed down just like someone has pushed a pause button. Though the situation has forced people to stay at home, it cannot kill your spirit and ruin your special occasions. Whilst the unsaid medical emergency that the country is facing, one should not panic. Remember, you are just asked to maintain social distancing, and not to stop living and celebrating. As this virus cannot stop the spirit of the people and the celebrations must go on, keeping in mind the social distancing. Let’s all use the situation to double up our happiness.
Between intimidating party outfits to finding perfect birthday gifts, parties seem to have lost their essence. You cannot go to wish your friends neither can they come over and that is a smart thing to do. But you know you can still create a party vibe at home itself. Even if baking is not one of your many talents, you can still bake a simple yet delicious cake at home. All you have to do is ditch the recipe to the most complicated cake, and choose an easy one. Don’t worry, even the easiest of the recipe can be turned into a gorgeous looking cake.
Virtual party
Where there is a will, there is a way. Heard it several times, now is the time to use it in your actual life. So, another party idea that is trending amidst the isolation period is the concept of virtual party. For this, you can invite all the friends and close ones of the birthday person to give them a surprise video conferencing call, each one of them wishing in their own creative way. Like singing birthday songs, or dressed up in a theme to coordinate with the birthday boy or girl. Instead of counting birthday presents, let them count the number of facetime they are going to receive.

Movies anybody? No, I have not gone mad, it’s possible. You can binge watch movies on your LED screen. Just prepare the list of favourite movies of the person you want to celebrate and binge watch the movies one by one the whole day. Oh and yes, don’t forget your popcorn supply and of course snacks too. Oh and remember not to waste food because it’s a hard time for the whole world and food is definitely an essential that can easily go scarce.
Board games to the rescue
When all else fails, you know what never disappoints us? The board games. Remember we grew up playing different types of board games? That was the best time pass activity back then and it still is. So, you can make it fun by involving the whole family and you can bet for money as well. You can even play online games with your friends who are struck miles apart because game nights are really stress busters. But be careful not to get too competitive so that all of you end up fighting. Tada! You are all set to welcome lots and lots of celebratory laughs!
