How to Say “Dil Se Thank You” To Your Sibling(s) This Raksha Bandhan?

Siblings are way more precious in life than we ever show them. Of course, there is a reason why we don’t show them how much we love them, else they would dance on top of our heads, right? But deep down, your soul knows how important they are and that your life would be really different without them. It would be normal, less fun, fewer fights, less sharing and caring and definitely lesser memories.

When we can’t say it, we show it. I believe that the whole concept of Rakshabandhan is about showing love and appreciation to your dear sibling. This Indian festival is actually one of my favourites because it celebrates the people who are actually important in life. I know out of all people showing appreciation to siblings is the hardest, but you can do it in a disguised way. Want to know how? This rakhi day, say “dil say thankyou” to your sibling in different ways mentioned below. I’m sure you will have a memorable rakhi this year if you truly understand the essence of this festival and say thank you to that one person who has been by your side.

Gift something they love

Sisters tie rakhi on their brother’s wrist and in return, out of love brothers present a gift to their sisters. That is how rakhi is celebrated. So, clearly, a gift is an important part of the celebration. All brothers get down on a mission to find a gift for their sister. Well, presenting your sis with a rakhi gift is a perfect chance to say thank you for all that she has done for you. You definitely know that all your secrets are safe with her. So, that “thank you from dil se” would be perfectly executed if you get her something that she actually loves. Like, something of her interests, or that fits well with her personality. You may even buy her something that she has been looking for or saving to buy. Presenting her such a gift will give her a hint that you care for her.

Post with lovely caption

Social media is a modern way to show love to our loved one. It is the easiest way to put all your love out there and not have to show on their face. This digital world is a Boon or bane, I’ll let you decide this, but it is a way to express whatever you want to. This rakhi day, say thank you to your sibs by posting a picture on your official account with a thoughtful caption. Let the world know how thankful you are to have a sibling like this. Oh and don’t forget to tag them, else the world would know and not your sibling.

Siblings day out

Turn Raksha Bandhan into siblings day out by taking your sibling out for some fancy food. Food brings people closer and feeding your siblings with their favourite food will strengthen your bond with them. After the custom of tying the rakhi, take him or her out to their favourite restaurant and celebrate rakhi by sharing tasty food with each other. That’s a lovely way to say thank you to your sibs for always having their back.

Thank you cake

Is there anything in the world that cakes can’t express? No, I don’t think so. On rakshabandhan, order a thank you cake for your sibling. A delectable cake is all you need for a memorable celebration and a happy sibling.

These are the ways to say ‘Dil se thank you’, to your sibling on Raksha Bandhan.
