There has been a constant battle for the LGBT group to eliminate the social stigma of society to accept the whole concept of same-sex relationships. They were often told to fix themself. But slowly, people had to take that it was not a problem that needs to be fixed; it was their way of living and loving. So, in 2018, the supreme court of India unanimously struck down section 377 of the penal code, which criminalized same-sex relationships. Though they still need hard policies to protect them from bullying, it eliminates a light of hope that India was ready for a change. It was a tough journey, especially in smaller towns, because people would stick to their stereotype approach and traditional ways.
It made them feel trapped on realizing that they were bisexual.
