Desserts That You Must Not Miss During This Navratri Season

When it comes to the 9 days of Navratri, we link our Mother Goddess with many traits such as grace, humility, and power. But do we not rejoice in other ways? In our daily lives, we see a variety of women who strive to achieve their goals via pure willpower, character strength, grace, and humility.

In Hinduism, Navratri, or Chaitra Navratri, is a prominent festival honoring the divine feminine. During the month of Chaitra, there are nine days of Navratri. Navratri is observed in India in a variety of ways.  For many people, it is a time of religious reflection and fasting, but for others, it is a time of dancing and feasting. Fasting traditions include sticking to a strict vegetarian diet and avoiding alcohol and some spices. Garba is a traditional dance of Gujarat, especially. The festival’s nine nights are reconfirming various aspects of shakti, or divine feminine spirit.

Aside from the various methods in which it is commemorated, one key feature stays constant: food! Different celebrations in distinct areas of the country, with different delicacies. We have some amazing Navratri desserts here.
