5 Wacky Lies That You & Your Siblings Were Actually Made to Believe by Your Parents

I actually can’t believe how our parents pulled it off quite well-raising kids like us. Yes, it isn’t an easy task at all. Especially when your sibling joins hands with you. Trust me when I say that a sibling is the best partner in crime, fun and what not! It is one of those bonds based on selfless and unconditional love. We do realize this fact now that we have grown up and some of us are living far away from our siblings. However, we do send rakhi gifts to them every year to convey our love and heartfelt feelings to them.

Coming back to the topic, it is no cakewalk to tackle kids without losing your cool and going nuts. That is when a queue of lies comes into the picture to take control of the spoiled kids. Yes, our parents used some hilarious lies in order to get us on track. You will be lying if you claim that you and your siblings didn’t believe them. Of course, you did. We all did!

Let’s check a few of them and go back down the memory lane together.

  • Lie Once & Get an Elongated Nose:

Yes, they actually made us believe that. I mean, how high were we to believe this? I am sure, every time you lied, you asked your sibling to check the length of your nose. Aren’t our parents genius to get the truth out of our mouths? Yes, they are.

  •  Pee Haunts:

We all have heard our parents telling us that pee before going to bed or else you would be getting horror dreams all night. Correct me if I am wrong, this actually happened to me every time I slept without peeing. What about you?

  • Orange Tree in Your Tummy:

My sibling and I were literally made to believe this by our mom. She would tell us that if we swallow orange seeds than an orange tree will grow in our bellies. I remember how panicked I got after swallowing an orange seed accidentally.

  • Turn Lights Off by 10 or Get Abducted:

The only way out for our parents to make their little devils go to bed on time was to frighten them. Yes, our parents used to scare us that if the lights of the room did not get off by 10 then an old lady would come with a huge bag to abduct you. Honestly, every time I heard this, it gave me chills down the spine.

  • A Teeth Under The Pillow:

Maybe, this was the only way our parents could make fools out of us to take their frustration off. Yes, we all have been told to keep our broken teeth under our pillow and that a fairy would come at night and turn the teeth into a coin. Trust me; I have had sleepless nights every time my teeth broke.

So, if you were also told the same lies by your parents, share this with your sibling to relive your childhood once again.
