Every mother deserves to be cherished throughout the year but a single day of special attention and appreciation never hurt anybody. Likewise, Mother’s Day calls for a grand celebration for the entire family. We always think of celebrating Mother’s Day in one way or the other. To do so, we spend most of the time making plans, and the remaining executing, leaving less time for enjoyment. To give you more time to bond, let us do the former duties. We know every mother is gracefully different. Keeping this in mind, we have multiple ideas that you can pick according to your mother’s choice. You already know what she likes, don’t you?
What to do for Mothers Day?
There are multiple things you can do to make your mother feel like a queen. Moreover, the ways don’t just have to be high maintenance. A mother loves every single little effort done by her children and family.
Give her a vacation
Whether working or not, a mother always packed in her tight schedule, leaving less self-time for herself. This Mother’s Day, give her a break. In fact, give her a vacation where she can enjoy her freedom away from the busy schedule she’s always engaged in. In case she is really unable to take out a couple of days or more, just let her hang out with her friends, do shopping, and do other things fun.
Throw a surprise party
No matter how common it has become, a surprise party still releases the most dopamine. This party planned along with your family will include everything: love, care, excitement, and of course, her favorite food, drinks, and people. Invite over her friends to play some games like tambola, UNO, etc double up the fun.
Pamper the Queen
In case your mother is not an outgoing or a party person, just make her sit back and relax. Pamper her like a queen. Call in someone for a massage and salon services, cook her favorite meals, surprise her with breakfast in bed, put on her favorite movie/ show, take her on a long drive, paint her nails, and do every little thing that strikes your mind. Also, don’t forget to decorate her room with beautiful ambient lights, candles, and fragrances.
Go for a family outing
In our busy lives, we hardly get a chance to go for an outing as a family. The only time we are together is during some function. This Mother’s Day, take a day off as a family and do outdoors to enjoy yourself. Go for a picnic, book a resort nearby, plan a vacation, relish the mountains, appreciate the sea, and do whatever you can, little or big! Moreover, make sure your mom likes whatever you’re planning. This will certainly be the most remarkable Mother’s Day.
End the day with a stirring gift
Whatever you might do, every celebration is incomplete without the involvement of gifts. After all, mothers deserve the best present every day. While you’re choosing the perfect gift, ensure that it is moving and is memorable for a lifetime. Needless to say, couple up the gift with flowers and cake so that your pictures can turn out to be more adorable.

How did Mothers Day start?
In May 1908, the efforts of Anna Jarvis resulted in the first official holiday of Mother’s Day. Her mother, Ann Reeves died in 1905 after which she observed the day to honor the sacrifices a mother makes for her children. Back in the day, a Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia witnessed the first Mother’s Day celebration. Upon the event’s success, Jarvis argued to honor motherhood at a national level and declare the day a national holiday in the US.
Ms. Jarvis remained unmarried and motherless to promote her cause. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially declared that the second Sunday of May will be honored as Mother’s Day. By that time, several states had already adopted the day as an annual holiday. As a matter of fact, Ann Reeves herself took the initiative of “Mothers’ Day Work Clubs” where she taught local women how to take care of their children.
