5 Positive Life-Long Habits That You Have Adopted During This Lockdown

Despite all the clouds of despair in this lockdown, we can still manage to find that silver lining though. This pandemic having us all shut inside our homes, have given us plenty of times which we can utilize to the fullest. However, I am not asking you to master an instrument or to write a novel on how you survived this pandemic (though, both of these are great ideas). I am asking you to take a peek inside your personality and find the potentials and the loopholes to work upon.

Now, during this pandemic and lockdown, we all have acquired some life-long positive habits that are going to bring a change in our lifestyles even when the lockdown is over, and the pandemic is gone. Surprised, right? Just when you thought, you have been doing nothing in this lockdown. Here I am telling you that you have already acquired some great changes in your personality. Let’s discuss a few of them, and you would notice it yourself.

  • A healthy lifestyle:

Since everything has been out un halt, and we cannot go out, we have surprisingly been refraining from the junk. Yes, we have been eating more healthy food, fruits and what not? You would yourself notice that you are better off without the junk food and it makes you feel much better.

  • Physically Stronger Than Before:

As I mentioned above, we are having a good and healthy diet, which has loaded us with a whole new level of energy and stamina, likewise, since we are not getting any domestic help from our maid, we are carrying our all the domestic chores by ourselves, right? It is a widely known fact; infact, our parents have been telling us all our lives that doing household chores makes a person physically fit and active.

Moreover, by practically doing this, I have come to realize that we don’t need to hit the gym either if we can stay fit and active at home only. Now, for those who do not move an inch the whole day, start helping your parents with all the household chores or else be ready to turn into a panda by the time this lockdown is over (remember, Pandas are cute, and you are not a panda).

  • Spending More Time With Family:

If you notice, you have been spending more time with your family. Be it your parents or your siblings; you are always talking to them, sharing, laughing, and sometimes fighting, right? Knowingly or unknowingly, you are connecting better with your family, and thus, your relationships with each family member are becoming strong. So passing each day in this lockdown, you are getting closer to your family.

  • Learning New Things:

Learning things could involve anything. From cooking new dishes in the kitchen to washing your clothes, you must be learning things that you would not have otherwise observed, right? This lockdown has given us an opportunity to find out our interests, likes and dislikes. So, go, explore more and learn something that would help you even when the lockdown is over.

  • Less Complaining With Enhanced Patience:

Little did you know that knowing the problems of the people facing right at this hour in our world would make you feel shamed upon crying on yours. You are on the right path if you have come to realise how lucky you are for having shelter, clothes to wear, and good food to eat on a daily basis. Realising all these aspects of the real world outside, we have stopped complaining about the misery that we have in our lives, right. This lockdown has surprisingly made those people patient who had almost zero patience traits in their personality. Yes, people are now more patient and calm. The initial days of the lockdown stroked their patience level, and if you compare now, almost everyone (your mother, father, sibling and including you) has become much more patient.

So, these lessons that each one of us has unknowingly or unknowingly appointed have groomed us into a better person. I am pretty sure we won’t be the same person as we were before this lockdown and now we know the reason. Even if the world is on rest, you keep growing every day.
