5 Most Inspiring Ladies who Triumphed over Fate

“Fate, dear Brutus, lies not with the stars but within ourselves.”

 -Julius Caesar

If you are a Shakespearean, then you surely must have heard the above quote, which is said by Julius Caesar. It is clearly evident what he is trying to say here. In this he states that it is we who decide our fate and not our stars. Romans would have never thought that their dear king Julius Caesar would have died in then most cruel way. It was his deeds which decided his assassination and that too by his own people.

I have seen people often quoting that, whatever happens to us, irrespective of good or bad, is due to our fate and destiny. But wait a minute, do I believe it? No, not at all. But, I am here to ask you that, whether do you believe in fate and think that it is our fate that decides our life. If no, then it is great, but if yes, then hold on a second, because here are some real stories of women who fearlessly fought against destiny and fate. They were not scared of society, death, and their inner conscience, which told them to sit back. Not even for a second they held themselves back because they knew that if they would stop today, they will be regretting it for the rest of their life.

So, buddies, I know all of you must be engrossed in planning some amazing women’s day gifts for the special women of your life. But before that, please spare some time and dive into the stories of the most inspiring women we have.

Anne Frank

If you are a bookworm, then you must be aware of her. Anne Frank was one of the strongest girls I would have ever imagined. When the whole of Germany was on fire due to the Nazi attack, this girl was hiding in the corner of the house and creating history. Being a Jew, Anne was also a victim of the holocaust. Amidst everything, this 13-year-old girl penned down all her shattering experiences in a journal, which later on became ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’. This book was published posthumously and made her a memorable person in the hearts of people. One of the very touching things she said was, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are good at heart.” This girl proved that there is no excuse in life; I mean, who could have such a pure heart even after what Nazis did to them.

Oprah Winfrey

This media mogul has not had everything with a cakewalk. The hardships and struggles this woman have been through intentionally or unintentionally would have shattered any girl. Sexual abuses, rapes, teenage pregnancy, disowned by family, drugs, etc. are too much for any female to get ruined completely. Say it fate or her spoilt behavior, but this woman overcame it with a lot of dedication and hard work. It is not easy to be where she is today. Must have taken a lot of courage, hats off Opera; you showed us that success and determination have nothing to do with your failures.

Malala Yousafzai

This 22 year old girl fought death and still stands with the female’s rights. She was around fifteen when a Taliban gunman shot on the left side of her head. God knows how, but she survived death. If needed, she could have sat quietly after this act, but instead, she used her second life to fight for every girl who wanted to study and move ahead in their career. By seeing her, I want to salute her parents as well for supporting her despite all the problems. I am also going to make sure to thank my parents with father’s day and mother’s day gift for sure.

Laxmi Agarwal

Hardly Laxmi knew at the age of 15 that she would be scarred for the rest of her life. It all happened when a man threw acid on her face. According to the society, Laxmi was no more pretty. But they say that warriors are born with wounds, and this one made Laxmi a warrior. Today she is known as one of the most influential people in India due to the work she has been doing for many other acid attack victims.

Lily Singh

And this one is for all the millennial out there, and I guess you must be knowing who Lily Singh is. For an idea, she is a Canadian YouTuber who has raged YouTube with her talent. This depression stricken girl never thought even in the wildest of her dreams that one day she will be hosting a late-night host show with NBC.

Kudos to these inspiring women, who showed that destiny and fate could not hold us behind. With our determination and zeal to live, we can put things in their place. So, move on girls and get ready for the coming female-oriented celebrations.
